Used this to help break in a new pair of burgundy oiled leather shoes. It does not darken the leather and leaves a nice soft sheen. Also the product is odourless which was a pleasant surprise.

I use this grease for the welt thread and no problems to report so far.

I only use this grease for the threads of my welts (goodyear shoes). The smell doesn't bother me at all.

Using one pot of grease per decade, I took the Saphir brand which is just as nourishing as the famous seal grease.
