Toan, artist in residence

Monsieur Chaussure is delighted to welcome Toan, the 2022 World Patina Champion, for an exclusive residency dedicated to the art of patina. A design graduate, Toan discovered the world of footwear and patina through a series of encounters. He began in Bordeaux, where he trained as a colourist under Pierre Monserant. Eager to perfect his art, Toan moved to Paris and joined Monsieur Chaussure, where he continued to refine his technique in response to demanding customer requests. His desire to refine his artistic touch then led him to join the French fashion house Corthay. It was in the Corthay colours that he triumphed at the 2022 World Skating Championships in London, winning the title with a masterful patina in shades of brown on smooth leather Derbies.
Today, Toan puts down his brushes in the Monsieur Chaussure showroom, where he puts his expertise at your service. Every Monday, he welcomes you to share his advice, sublimate your shoes and create bespoke creations, true works of art with a rare elegance. He also offers cleaning and restoration services for leather and suede shoes. Leather and suede handbags can also be restored.

Toan offers a complete maintenance service to prolong the life of your leather and suede footwear. This cleaning service is available for all types of leather and for both men's and women's shoes. The service is also available for leather goods: handbags, belts, gloves and other leather goods. How to get to our Showroom

Toan is in the Monsieur Chaussure Paris 15 showroom. The showroom is close to metro stations Sèvres-Lecourbe line 6, Ségur line 10 and Duroc line 13.
If you're travelling by car, you'll find a parking space close to the shop.
Toan is on hand to welcome you from 10.30am to 7pm on Mondays.
